1. Hugh Craigie Halkett – Stamp Free (Pre-Seed)
Hugh is the Founder and Managing Director of Stamp Free, which recently secured £600k Pre-Seed investment led by R42 Group and Cambridge Angels.
Hugh sought to disrupt the alternative investment industry, during the dot com boom of the early 2000s, through the launch of an IT Due Diligence solution designed to evaluate technology companies for investors as they struggled to effectively understand and value the companies they were investing in. Nearly 20 years on, Hugh has now turned his attention to the postal and carrier industry with Stamp Free Limited. He was the Founder and CEO of H.D. Management for over 19 years. Hugh is also the European Head of Financial Risk Mitigation since 2010.
Stamp Free utilises AI technology to develop a range of next-gen mobile phone-based digital postage products for businesses, consumers and carriers who seek to differentiate themselves in this highly competitive sector.
2. Guillaume Bouchard – CheckStep (Seed)
Guillaume is the Co-founder and CEO of CheckStep, which recently secured £3.95 million Seed investment co-led by Dawn Capital and Form Ventures.
Guillaume was the Co-founder and CEO of Bloomsbury AI previously. He has over 14yrs of experience as a Research Scientist. He works as an Advisor and Investor for Consilience Ventures and inflo.Ai, and as a Strategic Advisor for Calipsa. Guillaume was one of the main organisers of the first conference on Truth and Trust Online. Author of more than 60 international publications and holder of more than 50 U.S. patents.
