1. James Symes – Bike Club (Series B)
James is the CEO of Bike Club, which recently secured £16.75 million Series B investment led by Circularity Capital.
James is a Chartered Accountant. He started his first business at the age of 20, which is now a multi-million pound turnover company. James has ridden a motorbike to Mongolia (yes, from the UK) and stood for parliament in 2015. In 2019, James left KPMG to take over as CEO of the Bike Club.
The Bike Club is the UK’s largest bike subscription service providing premium quality kid’s bikes for children aged 0 – 14 years. Once joining Bike Club, bikes and scooters are delivered straight to customers’ homes and can be exchanged at any time as their child grows.
2. Kerem Alper – Neol (Seed)
Kerem is the Co-founder and CEO of Neol, which recently secured £4.23 million Seed investment co-led by kyu Collective and Global Ventures.
Kerem is a serial entrepreneur. He co-founded ATÖLYE and Collective Innovation and Design Association in 2013. Prior to which Kerem worked at Nest Labs as a Digital Product Manager. Kerem was selected the Lightspeed Venture Partners Fellow in 2012, Young Creative Entrepreneur of the Year by British Council in 2014, a Young Global Leader by the Council for the U.S. Kerem is a board director of imece, Toyi, and Urla Digital Agriculture and serves on the advisory boards of kyu Community Platform.
