Best time to sell products and services to UK tech companies

You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to work out the optimum time to sell your products and services to UK tech companies, but in case you are not sure, let me spell it out for you.

As you know, not all UK tech companies are made equal. Some have the cash to burn and others are simply trying to survive.

If a company is in survival mode, it’s not worth hustling them to buy your awesome product or service, even if the product or service can help the company. The company is trying to preserve cash and lengthen the runway as much as possible instead of finding ways to shorten the runway. So let’s give them a break and focus on where you can gain a positive result.

The best time to target a tech company is just after the company has secured investment. Once funds are in the company’s bank account(s), the company is expected to increase their monthly burn rate significantly to achieve growth targets agreed with the investors during the fundraising stage. They simply cannot leave the cash untouched in the bank.
