UK Tech Investment Round-Up takes place every Monday at 12 pm BST on Clubhouse, hosted by Manoj Ranaweera of Deal Lite (a product of Techcelerate) with co-hosts, Andrew Threlfall of Malinko (Techcelerate’s largest tech company, which makes scheduling community nursing a walk in the park for the NHS) and Stewart Townsend, a SaaS Channel Specialist who helped scale Zendesk, DataSift and many others.

1. Louis Wren – Prsnt (Seed)
Louis is the Co-founder of Prsnt, which recently secured £180k Seed investment from Suss Ventures.
Louis has experience in business development and digital marketing and has worked as a Career Consultant before Prsnt. The company was co-founded by a team of five. It aims to be the go-to gifting app by bringing back the feel good factor of giving and receiving gifts.
Prsnt allows users to connect with the people they care about in real-time by sending and receiving gifts straight to their mobile device. Prsnt for Business is a unique self-service, web-based platform that allows business owners and team leaders the opportunity to gift their staff, clients and customers in an efficient and cost-effective way.
2. Hristo Borisov – Payhawk (Series A)
Hristo is the CEO and Co-founder of Payhawk, which recently secured £14.3 million Series A investment led by QED Investors.
Hristo began his career as a software developer for alumni-led company Telerik. He helped develop some of the award-winning products of the company that was acquired by U.S. giant Progress Software in 2014. He is also a founding member of the Citizens App.
Payhawk combines credit cards, payments, expenses, cash management and pre-accounting into one integrated experience to give you maximum control and visibility over your business spend.
3. Jamie Beaumont – Playter Pay(Seed)
Jamie is the Founder of Playter Pay, which secured £1 million Seed investment.
Jamie is a recruitment expert and entrepreneur with experience in HR, recruitment procedures, social media and sales. He is also the founder of Offerd – a digital-first, AI graduate recruitment process. Jamie founded Playter Pay after years of experience at recruitment agencies, as he believed in the need to modernise standard recruitment financing options.
Playter Pay provides a hire now, pay later payment alternative for SMEs hiring through recruitment agencies or online recruiters. They help SMEs pay their invoice over 6 months helping their cash flow as well as paying the recruitment agency in 24 hours.
4. Jessica Alderson – So Syncd (Seed)
Jessica is the Co-founder and CEO of So Syncd, which secured £720k Seed investment led by Upscalers investment club and KM Capital of Manchester.
Jessica worked as an equity research analyst for five years at Morgan Stanley and is well experienced in economics, research and financial modelling. She co-founded So Syncd with her sister, as they realised how much time people waste on dating apps without much success; this thought inspired the app. She is also the UK Ambassador to “Women In Tech”.
So Syncd is a dating app based on Myers and Briggs personality types. The app uses a unique algorithm, based on Myers-Briggs personality types to match couples.
