UK Tech Investment Round-Up takes place every Monday at 12 pm BST on Clubhouse, hosted by Manoj Ranaweera of Deal Lite (a product of Techcelerate) with co-hosts, Andrew Threlfall of Malinko (Techcelerate’s largest tech company, which makes scheduling community nursing a walk in the park for the NHS) and Stewart Townsend, a SaaS Channel Specialist who helped scale Zendesk, DataSift and many others.

1. Alexa-Maria Rathbone Barker – tripAbrood (Seed)
Alexa is the CEO and Co-founder of tripAbrood, which recently secured £645k Seed investment led by Ben Davey.
Alexa was a previous Senior Executive at Bloomberg L.P., heading up regional Sales and Operational divisions of other 300 people – scaling complex consumer-facing data products to the world’s largest financial institutions. Due to the sheer frustration she faced with family travelling, she wanted to make family travel easier and embarked on the journey of founding tripAbrood.
tripAbrood is a travel tech startup looking to make the process of researching and booking a family holiday as seamless as possible. Their highly personalised and AI-powered virtual travel assistant can match you to your perfect family holiday.
2. Christopher Ansara – ALT/AVE (Pre-Seed)
Christopher is the Founder and CEO of ALT/AVE, which recently secured £387k Pre-Seed investment and £148k Innovate UK Grant.
Christopher has a background in advertising and has worked with some of the world’s leading brands including Castrol, Coca-Cola, Adidas and McDonald’s. He has a passion for solving business challenges, initially through communication and now through technology. He started ALT/AVE because he saw a problem and knew there was a better way that was more sustainable, digitally safer and more cost effective for financial service companies to communicate with their customers.

3. Thomas Vosper – aisle 3 (Seed Follow on)
Thomas is the CEO and Co-founder of aisle 3, which secured £250k Seed Follow On investment via Angel Investment Network.
Thomas has over 12 years experience in ecommerce and has worked at well-known companies such as Amazon, Tesco, inpost and Procesearch in various roles related to retail and marketing industry. Putting together all his experience and knowledge in the industry, he created aisle-3 in 2020. He currently judges UK & US Search Awards, UK Performance Marketing Awards and various other Tech and Ecommerce events.

4. Alex Packham – ContentCal (Series A)
Alex is the Founder and CEO of ContentCal, which secured £4.5 million Series A investment from Fuel Ventures and Guinness Asset Management.
Alex started his first business at University, a social/digital consultancy business in the early days of social. He worked at ODEON Cinemas and NOW TV, leading the social media/content marketing teams. Alex founded a social/digital agency called ASTP in 2014. ContentCal originally started as a social media marketing agency in 2014 and in 2016 they successfully rebranded and launched ContentCal to market. He is also acting as a Board Director/Advisor for Prop Store and Kindred.
