Deal Lite UK Tech Investment Weekly takes place every Monday at 12 pm UK time on Clubhouse, hosted by Manoj Ranaweera of Deal Lite (a product of Techcelerate) with co-hosts, Andrew Threlfall of Malinko (Techcelerate’s largest tech company, which makes scheduling community nursing a walk in the park for the NHS) and Stewart Townsend, a SaaS Channel Specialist who helps Techcelerate Member Companies scale through channel partnerships.

Speakers

1. Lex Deak – Basket (Seed)

Lex is the Co-founder and CEO of Basket, which recently secured £2 million Seed investment from investors including Lightbank.

Lex is a serial entrepreneur who has previously won investment on Dragons Den, is also the founder of super angel network, QVentures, which has helped to secure over £220 million in investments for over 130 companies over the past seven years.

Intent Technologies (t/a Basket) will allow shoppers to create a wish list of purchases from every part of the web, learn about price-drops automatically and earn commission by sharing their baskets with social media followers.

2. Joseph Black – UniTaskr (Seed Follow On)

Joseph is the Co-founder and CEO of UniTaskr, which recently secured £1.25 million Seed Follow On investment.

Joseph was a Qualified Safari Ranger and a Branding /Social Media consultant prior to UniTaskr. He founded UniTaskr as a solution to the financial crisis he faced as a student. He won the E&Y Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2017.

UniDosh (t/a UniTaskr) allows students to find quick & reliable part time work, through accepting tasks set by members of the local community. Upon signing up, students are able to highlight any key tasks they believe they can complete, then when a member of the public posts a request, the right students are notified.

3. Tim Spratt – Permutive (Series C)

Tim is the Co-founder and CTO at Permutive, which secured £54.84 million Series C investment from SoftBank Vision Fund.

Tim was an Analyst at Morgan Stanley and worked at Winton in Quantitative Research. He has been the Co-founder and CTO at Permutive since 2014.

Permutive is the only audience platform built on edge computing which enables premium advertisers and publishers to plan, build and activate cohorts — all while keeping everyone’s data safe.
