UK Tech Investment Round-Up takes place every Monday at 12 pm GMT on Clubhouse, hosted by Manoj Ranaweera of Deal Lite (a product of Techcelerate) with co-hosts, Andrew Threlfall of Malinko (Techcelerate’s largest tech company, which makes scheduling community nursing a walk in the park for the NHS) and Stewart Townsend, a SaaS Channel Specialist who helped scale Zendesk, DataSift and many others.

1. Paul Rinne – GripAble (Seed Follow on)
Paul is the CEO and Co-founder of GripAble, which recently secured £1.6 million Seed Follow On investment led by Triple Point Ventures.
Dr. Paul Rinne is a Digital Healthcare Entrepreneur. Paul holds research positions in the NHS and Imperial College London, linking the medical, engineering and business schools to drive health technology innovation.
GripAble is a hand-held device that connects to a motivating mobile therapy App, through which patients can engage with fun therapy programmes and therapists can assess progress.
2. Matt Phelan – The Happiness Index (Seed)
Matt is the Co-Founder of The Happiness Index, which recently secured £1.06 million Seed investment from angel investors.
Matt is the self-appointed Head of Global Happiness. He founded a global data and digital marketing agency in 2008. It was during this time that they started to uncover the association between employee happiness and business success which led to The Happiness Index (2014). He hosts The Happiness and Humans Podcast and is the author of the book Freedom To Be Happy: The Business Case for Happiness.
The Happiness Index provides employee engagement surveys and solutions to help you identify focus areas, boost retention and create a happier workplace. They adopt a combination of data science, AI and neuroscience to give immediate visibility into the key happiness drivers impacting the cultural health, employee engagement, customer engagement and productivity of your organisation.
3. Emrah Ertürk – Sorwe (Seed)
Emrah is the CEO and Founder of Sorwe, which secured £365k Seed investment led by TechOne Fund.
Emrah started his career as an R&D Engineer and has over 12 years experience in the Sales sector with over 7 years of experience at Minerals Technologies Inc.
Sorwe is an end-to-end employee experience and people analytics platform. They enable interaction between employees and the company and build strong analytics. Sorwe digitalises remote or office-based work experience in key areas; communication, feedback, learning, talent and performance.
4. Frederico Carpinteiro – Adapttech (Seed Follow on)
Frederico is the CEO and Founder of Adapttech, which secured £2 million Seed Follow On investment from investors including Mercia.
Frederico is a Biomedical Engineer. He noticed that there were many companies and research institutions focused on finding cures or permanent solutions for diseases and conditions, but barely anyone working to help people cope with these problems in the meantime which led to founding Adapttech in 2015.
Adapttech is a biomedical company that uses innovative, smart and wearable technologies to deliver full adaptation and greater comfort to people with physical limitations.
