Deal Lite UK Tech Investment Weekly takes place every Monday at 12 pm UK time on Clubhouse, hosted by Manoj Ranaweera of Deal Lite (a product of Techcelerate) with co-hosts, Andrew Threlfall of Malinko (Techcelerate’s largest tech company, which makes scheduling community nursing a walk in the park for the NHS) and Stewart Townsend, a SaaS Channel Specialist who helps Techcelerate Member Companies scale through channel partnerships.

Speakers

1. Cameron Brown – Honeycomb Network (Pre-Seed)

Cameron is the Co-founder and CTO at Unlock, which secured £127k Pre-Seed investment from SFC Capital.

Cameron’s master’s research focused on lithium-ion battery pack design. He uses this expert knowledge to help design and programme Honeycomb’s smart charging hardware.

Honeycomb Network is an Imperial College London start-up seeking to accelerate the uptake of micromobility in the U.K. by providing a network of smart charging and storage infrastructure for e-scooter users.

2. Kyle Grant – Oxwash (Seed Follow On)

Kyle is the Founder at Oxwash, which secured £500K Seed Follow On investment via Crowdcube.

Kyle, after a successful career at Nasa, as an astronaut health and life support systems engineer, completed a DPhil in Synthetic Biology at the University of Oxford. He founded Spark News UK in 2013. Kyle has been recognised for his innovative leadership and entrepreneurship by Forbes 30-under-30 and Barclays Entrepreneur, plus selected for the prestigious University of Oxford: Oxford Foundry Elevate program.

Oxwash, an eco-friendly laundry service utilises space-age technology to provide customers with a highly convenient service. Oxwash is harnessing the power of science to overhaul the industry. Traditional methods can only go so far, and have taken their toll on the planet. Using ozone technology for disinfection  maintains the integrity of the items received, by washing at low temperatures but destroying bacteria, viruses and allergens.
