Deal Lite UK Tech Investment Weekly takes place every Monday at 12 pm UK time on Clubhouse, hosted by Manoj Ranaweera of Deal Lite (a product of Techcelerate) with co-hosts, Andrew Threlfall of Malinko (Techcelerate’s largest tech company, which makes scheduling community nursing a walk in the park for the NHS) and Stewart Townsend, a SaaS Channel Specialist who helps Techcelerate Member Companies scale through channel partnerships.

Speakers

1. Phillip McGriskin – Vitesse (Series B)

Phillip is the Founder and CEO of Vitesse, which recently secured £19 million Series B investment led by Prime Ventures.

Phillip has over 20 years’ experience in electronic payments. He previously founded and was CEO of Envoy Services. Following the acquisition of Envoy by Worldpay, he was Chief Product Officer for Worldpay eCommerce and more recently Managing Director of Worldpay Futures. His prior payments experience includes Commercial Director of Earthport plc and Director of Sales for Neteller plc (now Optimal Payments). Phillip is also an angel investor and sits on the board of some of his portfolio businesses.

Vitesse PSP is a fintech company that provides international payment services and treasury management solutions to insurance companies and corporates through a dual-regulated globally-distributed payment network that lowers payment costs and delivers payments seamlessly.

2. Benedikt von Thüngen – Sanome (Pre-Seed)

Benedikt is the Co-founder and CEO of Sanome, which recently secured £2 million Pre-Seed investment led by Heal Capital.

Benedikt has an academic background in biosciences along with experience in building software companies. He is a serial entrepreneur and has built multiple companies across renewable energy, enterprise software, AI, drug discovery, and healthcare. He is also a mentor for The Royal Academy of Engineering and Cambridge University.

Sanome enables people to lead healthier lives by using at-home biomarker monitoring technology. Their IVD innovation engine, based on machine learning,  combines existing digital and bio-physical tests to continuously  monitor a person’s health. 

3. Andy Peddar – Deazy (Series A)

Andy is the Co-founder and CEO of Deazy, which recently secured £5 million Series A investment from Puma Private Equity.

Andy is a tech entrepreneur and digital strategist with 12 years of experience and a background in strategy and tech consulting at Rubica, InterContinental Hotels Group, Holiday Inn, Capgemini Consulting and A C Peddar Associates. He experienced firsthand frustration and disempowerment caused by tech teams letting him down and it led him to build Deazy as a solution.
