1. Jennie Johnson – My First Five Years (Seed)

Jennie is the CEO of My First Five Years, which recently secured £1.4 million Seed investment from Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

Jennie is a second time around founder. Prior to My First Five Years, she started Kids Allowed, a high quality childcare group. Prior to starting Kids Allowed, shel eft school at 16years of age, starting in the post room of an IT company in Manchester. Over a number of years she has worked her way up to a successful career in IT Sales and Marketing. 

My First Five Years is a Manchester-based edtech start-up that provides a unique approach to development giving children the best foundation for lifelong learning. It explores more than 2,600 skills and activities that will support children’s growth using the power of play.

2. Bryony Elliott – Hullabalook (Series A)

Bryony is the Co-founder of Hullabalook, which recently secured £6 million Series A investment led by Nauta Capital.

Bryony has over 10 years of experience in banking sector, having worked at Experian and BAE Systems Applied Intelligence specialising in Financial Crime & Cyber Security. 

Hullabalook is a technology platform that powers playful, engaging experiences within retailer websites to make shopping journeys more unique. Using their award-winning full-stack platform, they can rapidly develop personalised & dynamic product discovery experiences that allow shoppers to find the products they want to buy faster.
