Speakers

1. Simon Best – BaseKit (Series C)

Simon is the Founder and CEO of BaseKit, which recently secured £1 million Series C investment from investors including Nauta Capital.

Simon has more than 15 years experience building applications, leading technical teams and growing businesses. He has a proven track record in software architecture, design and implementation, managing and leading technical teams, agile development, product design and usability, having previously worked at iLeads.co.uk, 1st For Everything, Imagination Technologies and founded Progressive Internet.

BaseKit Platform is the partner-friendly mobile sitebuilder for hosting companies, telecoms and enterprises. BaseKit can be deployed via a SaaS model or installed in a datacenter. Also offers plugins for all major hosting control panels including WHMCs, cPanel, Plesk, APS and a powerful REST API.

2. Chris Milligan – Konfir (Pre-Seed)

Chris is the Founder and CEO of Konfir, which recently secured £1.6 million Pre-Seed investment led by Triple Point Ventures.

Chris is a SaaS Investor & Advisor. He founded Adepto in 2013 which was later acquired by Degreed. He has been a Speaker of Future of Work, Skills, Innovation and Communication for over 9yrs. Chris is an Angel investor at Inference Partners, Conviction Investment Partners and Adelpha. He is also a Board Advisor & Shareholder at Purlos.

Konfir (UK) is transforming employment verification in Europe, starting with the UK. Konfir securely removes the administrative burden companies face when requesting or completing employment verifications. 

3. Harry Grieve – Gensyn (Seed)

Harry is the Co-founder and CEO of Gensyn, which recently secured £4.8 million Seed investment led by Eden Block.

Harry has a background in applied machine learning and econometrics. He has previously founded Stealth Startup and Storq (app). He is an Angel investor at ReFi Labs and thymia. 

Gensyn is a hyperscale deep learning compute protocol for training the world’s deep learning models. Gensyn offers a cost efficient alternative to this model while delivering higher scale compute power.
