1. Rebecca Baker – K9 Nation (Seed)
Rebecca is the CEO and Founder of K9 Nation, which recently secured £167k Seed investment from angel investors.
Rebecca was the Product Development Manager at Beaumont Legal for 6+ years and prior to that an Events Organizer for 4+ years. She also has a background in tech as a Software Product Manager which made it easier for her to enter into the Tech field. She was inspired to create a supportive network for dog owners due to the difficulties she faced raising her new puppy, Buddy.
K9 Nation is a community for dog owners and dog-friendly businesses. K9 Nation sets out to provide impartial and transparent advice, as well as information on various topics of interest to enable every member to make informed choices for their dog’s wellbeing as well as their own.
2. Tom Beckenham – Comma (Seed)
Tom is the Founder and CEO of Comma, which secured £4.4 million Seed investment led by Octopus Ventures and Connect Venture.
Tom started his career in software engineering. He worked as a Development Manager at Adstream for 6+ years. He founded Specle in 2006, the world’s first open database of advertising specifications which he led for 11years. Comma was developed out of a passion for efficiency and to make the payments process for large amounts as simple as paying by card.
Commazero t/a Comma is dedicated to making payments easy for smaller businesses and the UK’s first native open banking bulk payment system. Comma makes it easy for businesses to pay salaries, taxes and invoices and pay multiple suppliers at once without manually keying in details.
3. Paul Fifield – Sales Impact Academy (Seed)
Paul is the Co-founder and CEO of Sales Impact Academy, which secured £2.18 million Seed investment led by Stage 2 Capital.
Paul has over 20 years of experience in founding and scaling global companies. Over the last 8 years, he has grown two international technology businesses from zero to $70M in combined sales as CRO and $100s of millions in value. Paul has also raised over $100M of investment across all stages from seed to growth, VC and debt.
